From April 7 to 9, 2024, the 42nd China International Rehabilitation Assistive Device Industry and International Welfare Machinery Expo took place at the Wuhan International Expo Center. The event was hosted by the China Association of Assistive Products.
With a theme focused on rehabilitation assistive devices and better everyday lives, the expo explored emerging services, business models and developments in the field. It brought together conferences, exhibitions, hands-on experiences, product launches and business matching to provide an international platform for exchange and collaboration.
Independent development, a new generation of Chinese innovation
Zeanso presented its independently developed Jiguang smart knee, meeting exhibitors, organizations, users and specialist visitors from across the industry.
Wang Tao and Zhu Yunfeng, athletes who competed at the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games, visited the booth. They demonstrated walking on level ground, ascending and descending slopes, and descending stairs with alternating steps. These demonstrations introduced visitors to Jiguang’s different functions and everyday uses, including its focus on safety, reliability, a lightweight design and natural walking.
Jiguang combines gait-intention recognition, biomimetic control algorithms and a miniature intelligent hydraulic damping system. Its biomimetic design pairs a lightweight, high-strength carbon-fiber shell with aerospace metal materials for durability. Its stumble-response function is designed to react quickly in unexpected situations and help reduce the likelihood of a fall. Real-time monitoring and damping adjustments support walking on level ground, sand, grass and uneven surfaces, as well as slopes and stair descent with alternating steps. Users can also select a cycling mode through a WeChat mini program.

Zeanso’s independently developed products attracted interest from industry professionals, specialist visitors and users. Through product displays, conversations, demonstrations and technical consultations, the company introduced visitors to Chinese smart prosthetics and to its commitment to supporting better everyday mobility.
